M.Rajalakshmi oil was established in 2003 by three brothers P M Navaneetha Krishna, M.Jayanthinathan and M.Malu Prasanna, located at Pollachi, the coconut capital of Tamilnadu, a southern most state in India. The company started its trade by export of  edible, milling copra and coconuts. In 2011 the company established its manufacturing facility of Desiccated coconut with latest technology machineries.In 2012 the company established a full fledged automatic oil mill for coconut oil, In 2015 the company further added edible oil refinery to its manufacturing capability. In 2022 the company added physical refinery to its existing unit
